Privacy policy

Soarcial — last updated: 30 August 2026.

Summary

Soarcial does not transmit user data. It processes and stores aggregated LinkedIn activity counts locally in the user’s browser. There is no server, no account and no telemetry, and user data is never sold. Everything it computes stays in chrome.storage.local and disappears when you uninstall the extension or click “Erase everything” in settings.

What is stored

Locally, only aggregated counts of your own activity:

What is not stored

Event metadata is restricted to numeric values in the source code, preventing text from entering that storage path.

Permissions and why each exists

Permission Use
storage Keep your counts and estimates in your own browser.
alarms Run daily aggregation and clean up data past its retention window.
sidePanel Show the same local dashboard beside LinkedIn while you work.
https://www.linkedin.com/* Read your own LinkedIn pages to count your activity.

The extension does not request tabs, history or webNavigation. It cannot see which sites you visit outside LinkedIn.

Retention

Raw events are deleted after 21 days. Daily aggregates and estimates are deleted after 400 days. You can export a JSON backup or erase everything at any time from settings.

Third parties

None. There is no analytics, CDN, external font or remotely loaded library. All executed code ships inside the extension package.
